Óčko is the first Czech music television station, which has been broadcasting since 1 October 2002, initially under the name Stanice O. In May 2005 the station was bought by the media group MAFRA. The current director is Štěpán Wolde. The first music television station to broadcast on the territory of the Czech Republic is Óčko television. In the beginning it was called Stanice O. It has been presented under the name Óčko since 2002. The largest part of the programme schedule consists of music videos. In the morning and in the afternoon they introduce new foreign popular songs and in the evening they return to repeating older songs. TV also gives smaller and lesser-known groups a chance to make a name for themselves, as well as minority genres. For more discerning viewers, it also broadcasts live broadcasts or recordings of concerts and hit parades.
